Happy Monday, and happy new month. Life in the US feels very uncertain and like everyone is walking on eggshells execpt for the blissfully ignorant few who asked for this. Oh well. We trudge on.

I've just been trying to indulge in my interests more lately. I finished I Am a Cat which was a task, considering I've been reading it since NOVEMBER. It's just such a long book, with small text and constant droning. It was rough, but I can respect it for what it is. It just wasn't for me, unfortunately. Of course, a book called The Sluts is for me. I just like that literary stuff, man. The weirder the better.

Which book do I like more? The answer may (not) surprise you.

I've also been playing so much Infinity Nikki. There's a site I found called The Miraland Collection (which, for those of you who glam and gpose in FFXIV, might think looks familiar, and for good reason) where you can share your looks in game. I'm obsessed. I've only submitted two outfits, but I'm hoping to spend some good time this week just setting up photoshoots with Nikki. It's tickling my photography and creative side, and I'm very thankful for it.

Other than that, life is pretty dull for the most part, which isn't a terrible thing. I watched Chungking Express which was a lot of fun and super chill. The vibes in that movie were immaculate. Also, Faye Wong has incredible music. Perfect for a nostalgic 90's girlie like myself.

Is there anywhere on this planet that feels like this movie?

That's all for now, I think. My mind has been buzzing about the potential for dystopia to hit all of us here, but I also feel like I'm being dramatic, so I try to distract myself and not doomscroll. It's not proving to be successful, but at least I'm cognizant of it.
